This waterslide decal sheet contains markings to decorate 6 planes in the markings of the Soviet 296 IAP and the Ace pilot Lydia Litvyak. The sheet also includes spare red stars with white outline for late war.

The Soviet 296 IAP,(fighter aviation regiment), was joined by ace Lydia Litvyak in January 1943. Flying the Yak1, Lydia was a part of the Free Hunter tactic, where experienced pilots were allowed to go out of their way to independently take on the enemy.

After the 296 IAP was renamed the 73 GvlAP, Lydia was given flight command of their 3rd squadron and continued to fly for the 73 GvlAP until August 1st, 1943, where she was 'presumably' killed in action.

Decals are scaled to fit 1/200th Blood Red Skies aircraft.
